Of course he does. He wants to be an ATG, he needs to fight the Pacman. It's always been the case that the best want to fight the best.

      That's what makes a legacy.

Of course you're going to say that. You're his uncle...lol. Of course you don't want to see Floyd's legacy ruined by a loser, especially one who has a chance to get it done. Why is Floyd so afraid of Manny who already has a few losses on his record ? If Floyd's so good maybe he can put another on Manny as well. As far as Manny goes, Floyd's chicken and that's the bottom line. As you say, maybe FLoyd doesn't need Manny, but he'll never be considered the best if he doesn't beat the man. Ali, Leonard, Hagler, Hearns and Duran all have losses, but the difference is they fought all comers, which you are doing your best to avoid. You would never fight Ali, but IMO any of the other 4 would have beaten you easily in their primes. Of course we'll never know and you probably would have never given them the chance.

                Even if........

Even if Floyd fights Manny, he'll never be considered an ATG. His best win is Chico( RIP). That is sad. Canelo would've been a legacy win BUT he drained the kid. If he was so smart, he would've put a rehydration clause in the contract. Canelo wasn't himself that night because of the weight. FACT. Floyd doesn't have not one ATG win on his record or an A Level fighter in his prime, on his record. He needs to defeat Manny, Triple G, and a Lara or somebody to be considered an ATG. He simply hasn't been challenged enough and it's all his fault for cherry picking and lack of balls.
