Still, Ward is bigger than GGG and Manny is smaller than Floyd.

And size aside, my other two points still stand. There's no "Ward question" for GGG. The comparison to the Floyd vs Manny situation is not valid.

Outside of Ward not one single man from 154 to 160 with what can be considered A level talent has actually said "yeah i'll fight him". Instead they all get a pass for saying "we'll see". Oh and this man will retire Cotto if he does not vacate his titles, believe that.
A level fighters ARE calling him out. Ward, Lara, Froch ring any bells?

The guys who are supposedly "runnng scared" from him, like Quillin and the rest of the MW div, are not A level. And JMW's refusing to fight a MW is not called running scared.

        1) The Pac fight was there for the taking a couple of times over the years. Ward, on the other hand, kept calling GGG out when he was involved in a promotional dispute and wasn't even available to fight. He was simply trying to keep himself relevant by making it look like GGG was ducking him.

        2) Pac would have been (and still would be) a career high payday for Floyd. Given Ward's ridiculously inflated sense of his own financial worth, GGG wouldn't make much vs Ward. Ward would want PPV level money for the fight despite the fact that neither he nor GGG is a PPV level draw.

        3) Oh, and the minor detail that Ward is much bigger than GGG, whereas Pac is actually a little smaller than Floyd.
And it worked. Even though Ward wasn't able to fight anybody, and even after his trainer said that Andre would need tune-ups before fighting GGG, we are still seeing the same response from those suckers every time GGG is mentioned here - "he duckin' Ward doe".

Correct. Manny and Floyd are in the same division.

GGG and Ward fight in different divisions. There is a reason for that!

Oh, absolutely. I actually think if Ward came down to 160 and had one tune-up fight there, GGG would fight him. And I used to think Ward would be betting favourite over GGG, but now I am not so sure. The stuff GGG showed in the Geale and Rubio fights is very impressive.

i think alvarez is his best bet at middleweight. if that fight doesn't materialise before 2016, he should move up and chase ward.

Just to make it staright , Froch said he does not want to fight GGG , Lara said he will fight him and was replied by K2 to please send an offer (which he didnt) , i think Lara fights happen if Lara was series.
Ward , now thats one fight that can shut GGG train , i wont deny it , but you guys wanting him to jump through hoops of hell and fight a division above him against the best fighter there instead of letting him grab the lineal championship against an establish figthers , the fact that people still see Cotto as the man in MW (Ring rankings even believes so) is enough for me to give him a pass on jumping up and chase what`s his -> MW lineal undisputed champion. Cotto that ***** who wont defend his paper title against anyone in MW but looking for Floyd to buy the title from him should get all the hate for what he is doing to boxing with his shameful behavior.

Froch didn't (cos the fight wasn't PPV worthy), Lara mentioned his name on Twitter then did nothing whatsoever to pursue the fight and Ward has been out of business (and actually never 'called out' Golovkin just said he'd be 'willing' to fight him).

And whilst Lara is good and his movement could make GGG work for a living, Lara ain't a JMW Rigo - going close with Canelo, Vanes and Molina tells me he ain't truly elite.

If Ward pursues the fight and can offer a big $ deal now he's with Roc I'd expect this fight to happen next year (Ward needs to get his ass back in the ring a coupla times and Golovkins looking at 160 unification this year).

Ward is a great fighter but he annoys me sometimes, the guy is barely relevant anymore for two reasons: He's boring as all fck and no ones gonna pay to see him fight, and hes done nothing these last couple years.

Only Ward fight id pay to see is vs GGG, and thats all down to GGG

GGG is the real deal but unfortunately there are no big names at middleweight. Any decent MW fighter with a future will duck him.
He should seriously consider going up to super middle where there are some great challenges like Ward, Froch and Kessler.
