Did Canelo move too quick?????

You can't blame Cotto for waiting on Floyd. I'm not sure what Canelo is in such a rush for. If it were closer to March I'd understand. Unfortunately it seems like we are going to get Cotto/Bradley which is a let down to me. Canelo/Kirkland is a fun fight though.

Canelo has been on the shelf for a while already. He is young and it appears that he don't want to waste time and that May 2 date means a lot to him.

Canelo might have just not fought Clottey thinking that he was going to get a Cotto fight. Can't blame him for not waiting. He looks like he was rushing but he has been waiting for a while already.

I just hope that the Canelo/Cotto fight gets made. Great fight and it 50/50

With what we are hearing about the Pac-May fight being close to a done deal. If its signed Canelo should not fight Kirkland on that date.
Should he have waited on the outcome and salvaged his fight with Cotto. They could of had a ppv fight in June.

Canelo didn't want to fight in June, and Cotto didn't want to fight at all.

Cotto didn't really want to fight Canelo in the first place. I don't know why Cotto wasted their time talking about it when he wasn't going to fight Canelo regardless of whether Mayweather was going to fight Cotto or not. Oscar said they gave Cotto what he asked for. How many more weeks was Canelo supposed to wait for Cotto when Canelo is a bigger moneymaker than Cotto. Cotto may yet ended up fighting Mayweather. Canelo has a good fight with Kirkland and they made that fight in a day or two compared with over a month of begging Cotto to fight Canelo when he never really wanted to fight Canelo.

He wants to fight in May. Thats over three months away. That's what I mean by being in a rush. I'm pretty sure once Pac/Floyd is made ad Cotto realizes he can't make the same money vs. Anyone else he would change his stance in some things.
