This is the point that I disagree on. Toney physical appearance looked disgraceful, but dam lousy performance, against a bigger stronger former and current heavyweight champion? I don't think so. He could have done much better if he came in good shape, but the fact of the matter is he was fighting the most determined rahman I have seen in a really long time, and still managed to pull out a draw out of shape which imo was the right score.. could have gone either way 115-113 rahman 115-113 toney.. so in the middle should have been a draw. reminds me of hopkins vs taylor first fight sort of, that fight should have been called a draw seeing as how it could have went both ways. people who are scoring this fight 117-110 for rahman are rediculous im sorry. did yall even watch how effective toney was even though he was out of shape? get real, the draw was the right call

have you ever seen any past fights from rahman whatsoever? you can't say that this fight wasn't a good fight. I don't think rahman looked like ****, the man threw a lot of punches more than normal, and still didn't really look gassed. I think rahman put on a pretty good performance, and even though toney was in really bad shape he still put on a good performance too. Its amazing seeing such a small guy like toney fighting a much larger man, the WBC heavyweight champion, and still managed to get a draw. I love seeing the way he counters, but that weight seemed to have a lot effect on the shoulder rolls that toney does. nonetheless toney being out of shape, fighting an in shape rahman, and still putting on a pretty good performance and still managed to get a draw.. give credit where it is due

Fair enough, if his performance was as bad as I put he would have lost convincingly. He has the talent to easily beat Rahman, I guess I just expected to him to do much better.

I was surprised that the HBO guys gave a couple of the closer rounds to Rahman. I had it 114-114. Rahman worked harder, but Toney landed more effective shots, and at a much higher percentage. I think it could've gone either way, because most of the rounds were hard to judge. I did have it as a draw, though.

I thought Rahman looked really good, and that Toney wasn't as active as usual. I don't think they looked like ****, though.

Savior of the heavyweight division? probably not, but I really appreciate the mans skills and he is truly a great fighter. Just sucks that he could have had the gold around his waist if he would have prepared better. Maybe this could be a reality check for toney and he can skip some rope or something to get his weight down. all the man wants to do is spar, which is a great way to train but.. if he was really focused and comes in the next fight in better shape I think he could make some more noise in the heavyweight division
                  if he would just run
every other day he could have the stamina for theese super heavies which is crazy..he could still eat just run ,not even every day every other

true he just needs to lose some weight, and toney's stamina really didn't look that bad considering the shape that he was in.

i had it 114-114 also but two of the round i gave to toney were rounds i considered scoring even. i agree with the draw but if anything else it shouldve gone to rock by a point or two.

it looked early like toney was gonna be able to wear him down but it became clear around the 6th that toney dint have a punch to stop rahman. rahman clearly didnt like being countered so much late in the fight, i think thats why he wanted to keep it close with james so much, toney was using the distance pretty well and cathcing rahman coming in witht he left lead. once they got close toney didnt have as many wide open opprutunities.
and i think rahman was satisfied with trading 2 punches for 3 on the ropes just cause he knew he could take it.
