What does that do to Floyd's legasy? does it completely wipe it out? I mean an older pac beat hime soundly? so all them dodging the "best" at their "prime" talk was true?

they're both gonna be all time greats.. some boxing purist will have mayweather ahead, some action junkies will have manny ahead.. personally they're the same to me..

ps I do hate mayweather for the cowardlike stances he tends to take.
if they are equally great, then floyd is suppose to win, hes the bigger guy. if pac beats him or gets a split decision, then he is probably the greater fighter, since hes the smaller guy. if floyd were to lose, you can bet that every time his name is brought up in the future, people will say he ducked the best for most of his career and when he finally manned up, he got dealt with. it will be unavoidable.

Mayweather is the bigger threat, but obviously amir khan is a top welterweight and mannys even willing to fight at wembly where khan will get a hoke advantage. Manny will make 25 and Floyd will make 32 to fight cotto when they could be making 120 and 80 to fight each other and likely the same or more in a rematch

The 0 is not that important for Floyds PPV buys. If he loses, the next story will be what does losing do to him and they will tune in again.

Pacquiao/Khan is a bigger and better fight than Floyd/Cotto.

Only for his diehards, Floyd will be nowhere near the draw if he loses his 0. Quit kidding yourself.

What if Haymon gives us Mayweather vs. Cotto 2, and Khan vs. Maidana 2, on the same night?

Not at all, if he loses he gets shredded 1000x worse than Broner. There is no 'next story' this guy would be eternally crucified. You have to understand, Floyd has been marketing himself as the guy to hate, losing will bury him forever. And if he loses to Pacquiao, his legacy is shattered. Guys like Pacman can bounce back after losess because they are humble and likeable. My money is on Floyd having a mental breakdown if he ever loses. His undefeated record IS important for his PPVs because majority of people who tune in is to see if hes finally gonna lose. But the '0' is also important for his sanity. I dont think Floyd survives the media storm if hes defeated.
