    Thurman now regular WBA champ?

I was just looking at the WBA rankings and noticed that Keith has been promoted from interim champ to regular champ (it happened on 01-16-15).

So his fight against Guerrero will officially be his first defence.

God that belt is a disgrace. Nothing against Thurman but the regular belt makes me sick. There's only one WBA champ and that's Floyd.

I don't understand why they didn't just wait until March 7th and make Thurman vs Guerrero fight for the vacant belt. It would've added something a little extra to the occasion.

Thurman has reached the promise land alongside the likes of Scott Quigg and Jamie McDonnell

Or just keep the one Floyd holds as the only one.

I hate the fact that fighters can become world champions by literally doing nothing now.

How can you not be a world champion, then get upgraded to world champion for no reason?

                Pathetic.

Yeah lol, Floyd is the 'super champ'.

Tbh if anyone other than Floyd was super champ, Thurman would've got a shot at that title by now, he was interim champ for too long. He won it off Chaves in 2013.

I ain't complaining though. My boy is officially a world champ now , just wish he'd earned it in better fashion, the Guerrero fight is only just over 5 weeks away, they really should've been fighting for the vacant belt on that date.
