What Haymon is doing is more like WWE in that the fights will only involve Haymon fighters. And before anybody gets their panties in a bunch no I don't mean that fights will be fake.

Yes, it's very possible... The promoters just need to have their own belts, and then make the good matchups... Sanctioning bodies would be cut out

If you have the resources it is possible, boxing is fractured and splintered which is basically begging for a larger fish to swallow up other smaller fish.


The problem comes in that boxing is a very mature sport, thus there are many players and the costs are so high for top end fighters that it would be very expensive to set up. UFC wasn't **** and they still don't pay their guys that much, so just guess someone would need about 100 times the amount of capital it took to build UFC. That is tricky.

So I do think it is theoretically possible in that the opportunity is there for it to be done, just actually getting that sort of thing together would be so difficult just due to cost (not to mention other major issues).

if you look through history the game never thrived as it did when it had all of the corruption. The advent of the television helped a ton but still..........

More belts is the last thing that boxing needs.

The level of corruption is the same across the time -- the ********ization and the expansion of the media make us "feel" it's bigger now...
