    Wilder

I hope Wilder is smart enough to wait awhile before trading jabs with Klitchko.

The tears in this thread taste of vodka.

Good for Deontay. Why rush? Let him hone his skills for a couple of years. Let Wlad age a couple of years.

No one believes Wilder has a chance to beat wlad right now so it makes sense that he takes a couple more fights against better competition before going after wlad.

He's essentially holding the belt hostage.

If Wilder was a European or an Asian person, everybody would be crying that he's holding the belt hostage

I surely wouldn't say anything like that. He just got the belt and hasn't fought anyone yet.

WIlder is in a unique situation-he is a belt holder but not many think he is a top 10 HWT. He just really cracked the top 10 and that is debatable.

He just made a huge step up in comp beating stivernne in his 32nd fight.

His best bet is to fight a fury then a povetkin then go after wlad. There is nothing wrong with a top 6 HWT,, then a top 2 HWT, then the real champion.

Fact is that Povetkin smashes Wilder to bits and Fury would be very likely to do it to...

In the meantime Wilder can fight probably an easy one, then Tyson Fury. This will build the fight tremendously, think about it Klitschko's next fight is on New York on HBO, his fight after that will also be on HBO (and if its against Briggs probably in America again). Meanwhile Wilder will get lots of attention himself, we already saw 1.3 million viewers on Showtime in his last fight. That will grow especially against the likes of Tyson Fury. Why would anyone oppose this plan and demand the fight happens now when a). Wilder isn't ready yet and b). the fight isn't nearly as big as it would be of they both fight a couple more times. Makes zero sense to fight now, from BOTH sides.
Good post. Euro fans got their panties in a bunch. Unification fights rarely happen so quickly. Wilder needs to defend against name guys to build the Wlad fight. No reason to rush. Everyone calling for Wlad/Wilder asap are just fanboys wanting their guy Klitschko to have all the belts.
