The factor to consider is that Vlasov is not as easy as many thought since he had only one defeat on 31 fights besides being taller than Ramirez (1.93 vs 1.89 Mts.) It really looked than Vlasov was the bigger of both (I didn't hear tonight weights). The Russian was a good test for Ramirez who is only 23 yrs old and it is still possible that with a good trainer, the young Gilberto could improve and be ready for the top on the division.Comment

And forgot to mention that Vlasov is actually a LHW. So all things consdered it was not a bad fight for Ramirez. The factor to consider is that Vlasov is not as easy as many thought since he had only one defeat on 31 fights besides being taller than Ramirez (1.93 vs 1.89 Mts.) Work in progress? He's already at his peak. He'll continue to be showcased against low level fighters and hyped up like he's improving though. We've seen this story before. Yawn.Comment

It is like Ramirez's brain gets his feet in the right places, but then it tells him to just stand there and not do ****.Comment

He shouldn't think about real top names in 168 yet. Dirrell, Ward and maybe Degale would outbox him all night and Froch would wear him dow. However he would make and entertaining dogfight with the younger Dirrell, Chavez or Groves. He has a chance against Abraham too but against real top names (Ward, Andre Dirrell, Froch) he would fail.Comment
