  • Manny Pacquiao said that Floyd Mayweather should stop pointing his fingers at Bob Arum for failed negotiations between their respective camps and ***8220;just sign the contract,***8221; while attending the premiere of his movie-documentary ***8220;Manny***8221; on Wednesday (AEST).

"Me and my promoter (sic) is no problem. We agreed already about the terms and conditions,***8221; the former eight-division champion told FightHype.com.

    ***8220;Just sign the contract and that fight will be on. I***8217;m just waiting for the signed contract. All he needs to do is just sign the contract.***8221;

So are you deluded Floyd fans saying Pacquiao is lying? Not once have you been able to bring yourself to do this, instead, ******ly and insanely ignoring this like you have just developed mental ******ation.

Pacquiao has said it over and over, SIGN THE CONTRACT. And over and over, you have ignored it. Arum is lying, but Pacquiao isn't? Get a hold of yourself. No one believes Pac would make all this up.

Ive said a million times taking things out of context is wrong .
Hahaha man this is just too ridiculous. He could easily be saying thanks for clearing it up; i'm not fight pacquiao on may 2nd. You have no idea, and to even suggest you do is crazy. He could easily have fixed this "confusion" by coming out and telling us exactly what he means.... Where is he? Just one interview, with a couple tough questions is all i ask. He won't because he has 0 legitimate answers why he's not going to take this fight.

      • I think the drama is starting to wear on real fans nerves. It's going to get to a point where nobody will care if they fight. Two old has Belen's is not how I wanted to see this fight

Floyd Mayweather Jr's contract is with Showtime/CBS, and he's an executive producer for all programming related to his fights, so the TV negotiations are inherently critical for him. The calculus is different for Pacquiao; he gets the $25m guarantee, whatever sponsorships that he gets, and he trains and shows up to fight.

Like rational businessmen, Moonves (CBS) and Plepler (HBO) are sitting down somewhere, negotiating the contract term for term, until the TV/PPV rights have been decided.

Once that's out of the way, the rest of the things related to the fight can be squared away (split of the PPV revenue/TV rights, split of the gate, protocol for USADA, which beer sponsor to go with, what gloves to use, who stands in the red corner, whose name is first on the marquee/promotional material, etc).

Of the talked about $300m in revenue, $250m of that is going to be coming from the PPV/TV rights; if that isn't agreed to, the rest of the talk doesn't matter.

I dont know why people bring up Pacquiao as though he knows whats going on. He just knows what Arum is telling him. He said himself he's just a boxer and that he lets Arum deal with the negotiations.

            • Amazing !!!!!!

Whats so amazing is that Jr makes any other fight with ease but with THE THREAT of his life he can't pull the trigger and tell Showtime to make it.

That's the sad part manny and floyd fan boys are taking the excitement out of it all with this trying lay blame crap while negotiations are still going on manny gave a cut off date of end of month which I think will be more so second week of February don't need a big promotional tour for this fight that's been going on for 5 years now and still have two months to train for fight they need to relax wait for deadline to past and if fight ain't made then argue like school girls then instead of trying dissect every article or quote that come from manny arum Espinoza floyd ariza

Going by Floyd fans logic Floyd is the A side - fighters

HBO is the A side - Network

before Pac ducking Floyd because he did not agree to all the demands of the A side

Then for the network side of the negotiation - if the negotiation fails who ducks who?

What in gods name are you talking about? I am pretty sure Pacquiao knows when he signed a contract.

Yea, and Floyd has Haymon negotiate for him. Neither of them are personally negotiating. Again you are ignoring the fact Pacquiao has said a million times SIGN THE CONTRACT, and now he is directly calling out Floyd saying, " Stop lying, stop blaming Arum, sign the contract." The contract exists, and Pac signed it.

So once again, are you claiming Pacquiao is making all this up out of thin air? Know who else is ignoring Pacs words? Floyd. Because just like you guys, Floyd is not dumb enough to attack Pacquiaos credibility.

If Pacquiao was lying, who is the first person would be screaming that is he is a liar? Obviously Floyd. Why isn't Floyd calling Pacquiao a liar? We know he hates his guts and would take any chance to attack him. The fact Floyd has not ONCE contradicted Pac, proves Arum is telling the truth. It's extremely simple. The mental gymnastics you are going through to prove Floyd is not a liar is silly.
