People are too hard on Wilder. He had 30 ****ing amateur fights. He was learning boxing on the go and he is still a work in process.

Tyson could beat up a milk carton and make people go "wow". He was awesome, regardless of his level of competition.

Wilder doesnt have the wow factor. His skills are mediocre at best. But he can punch and he is American, so he gets attention.

This pretty much sums it up. If he had an extensive amateur career I could understand it. But Wilder has had a total of 74 boxing matches if you combine his professional and amateur career.

He's done very well so far and he's a threat. Especially if he continues to progress.

Oh, but he also got killed himself BY A BUM - Busta' maah-fooking-Douglas (as Roger Mayweather owuld call him) got all up in that ass.

Buster opened Mike's ass up, stepped inside, closed that **** behind him.
Buster's a bum, people on this site throw around that word.
Buster would beat Wilder, thread over.

            I'll wait ......
Lomachenko and Rigo fought pretty good opposition early in their carreer but you are right.

What people do not realize is that, like him or hate him, Tyson fought more than 10 times in 1986 , you cannot expect any boxer to face 10 top contenders in one year -and- go on to win a title.

Yeah Tyson wiped out his share of bummy opponents right up to Berbick.

Tyson's opponents were somewhat better quality from a win/loss perspective but Wilder has KOed the heftier opponents.

There credentials are about comparable but in Wilder's defence, Tyson, due to his smallish stature, was pushed to the end by an opponent like Quick Tillis.

It's obvious that if Wilder ever had an opponent like that he would waste him in the opening stanzas.

But in terms of a h2h with Wilder and Tyson, I think Tyson could get in on Wilder and **** him out. Wilder didn't clinch (necessary vs Tyson) and although he is long and fast I don't think he is adept enough to keep the slick and quick Tyson at bay like he did to ambling punch bag Stiverne.

The pressure Tyson applies would be unlike any opponent Wilder faced.

That goes for most fighters in history , Ray Robinson fought over a 100 bums , so did JC Chavez , Carlos Monzon etc etc , its only a hand full of fights that makes these fighters and others stand out as great champions .

Even Tyson's "bums" are of a higher quality than Wilder's lol and he looked good doing it.

Is that the sort of post quality you only have to contribute is it Survivor?

What an insightful addition to the thread..

Yep. But most people speak with their hearts instead of using common sense.
