Kirkland doesn't have much of a shot, lets be realistic here.

I'll go with the convenient NSB excuse on this one- "It'll be a great fight while it lasts".
They picked him for a reason instead of giving Clottey a shot. Still, if Kirkand trains right and shows to win, it will be a tough night for Canelo. That is very unlikely in my opinion.

The whole Ann wolfe/Kirkland combo is really overrated. You just can't go guns blazing 4-5 rounds and go on survival mode relying on a home run punch.

People are basing it on Angulo, who is exactly the style it works against, and Tapia, who is exactly the style it works against and isn't that good. Molina isn't anything special but because he isn't a brawler and didn't sit there for Kirkland to beat on, Kirkland looked terrible. Anyone with any semblance of decent strategy can neutralize that entire gameplan.

That's not true, I would love to see this fight if Kirkland was more active lately but hes been out of the ring for a while now and is jumping right in with Canelo, that definitely works in Canelos favor and I don't think even the biggest Canelo fan can deny that. Still better than a Mayweather/Cotto bull**** catch weight fight for a title though.

Why? Cotto was more than justified in not bowing to the dictates of a spoon fed cash cow! In fact, I applaud Cotto for putting that bietch in his rightful place. A-Side is earned not fed just cuz you have the benefit of a large population demographic fan base.. lest not forget..Cotto careers is solidified and frankly he is needed by cinnabun to provide a semblance of legitimacy to his short stunted career thus far...i mean one quasi qualified signature win...nah bro disagree...

Has any anybody heard, read, seen video or even got a sight of cotto where he tells the fans or he justifies the reason for not fighting canelo??? I sure have not and cotto is a media diva! Like a perra with his tail between his legs! Very dissapointed that the wbc allows this fighters do what they want!
