IMO, its 50/50. Either Wilder blasts him out of there inside 5, or Fury wins by decision.
If he can take it, Fury would win.
I want this fight.
This is the fight that DOES make sense I reckon.
Fury vs Wilder. It has to happen.
There has never been a better time in HW boxing with so many what if fights!

I think Fury is a slight favourite in this fight personally.

Fury should have stopped Chisora in the second fight. Chisora didn't throw anything back; he was little more than a punchbag. No wonder people were booing.
Oh, and he did stop him.

But let me see if I have some what of an understanding of it. You are not comparing Fury to Wlad now you are saying that Wlad is somehow afraid of Fury?
I also don't understand why you believe I would personally be concerned with who has Fury ranked where. Because I have no concern about anything the alphabet boys do and as I have said before I pay no attention to it. But what the hell, the fact that he is the mandatory means that he is simply one step closer to getting the snot knocked out of him by Wlad. So, that in fact is a good thing.
As far as Stiverne is concerned when has Fury ever tied up fighters and leaned on them to sap their strength? Fact is he didn't do it against Pajkic or Abell or Firtha or Maddalone or even Rogan. He didn't even do it when Chisora walked straight at him winging an occasional wild punch. The fact is the only time he really has done it is when he fought the guy who he outweighed by more then forty pounds. And even when he did do it he was still getting out boxed and was losing the fight.
But you may be right he may have leaned all over Stiverne and tired him out. But then again Stiverne may have countered him, like he did Chris, and knocked his a$s out. Because I have no doubt that Arreola isn't a very good fighter but he does have a pretty stern chin on him. And in case you missed it Fury has a very very suspect chin and he is also rather easy to hit.
As far as Wilder is concerned Fury should be concerned about the fact that Wilder proved that he is much better fighter then he was thought to be. And even though I believe it is way way to early to anoint Wilder as anything he, even if it is overrated, still has some real power or at the very the least enough to knocked Fury out. But, I will say that Wilder's chin is still a big question mark.
So go ahead and live in your fantasy world that everyone is afraid of Fury. While I will believe that there is nothing further from truth and sooner or later someone is going to take out Fury and most likely make it look easy in the process. By the way I hate eggnog.
Where did I say anything remotely resembling "Wlad is afraid of Fury"?
I'm sure Wlad believes he can beat Fury, or anyone else. The best thing Manny Steward did for Wlad was give him a "winner's" mind set and attitude.
He would never have won his titles, or held on to them so long, if he was afraid of anybody.
What I think is that Wlad and his team know that Fury is much, much better than most American fans, like yourself, believe him to be. And these are the very fans Wlad is trying to win over now as he builds towards his real objective - a big unification fight, in the USA, with Deontay Wilder.
The last thing Wlad needs, with the US fans starting to believe in him at last, is to get himself involved in a tough, hard fought battle with a guy who is widely believed by the majority of those US fans to be a clumsy, useless, glass-jawed no-hoper.
So I think he will avoid fighting Fury until after he unifies the titles, maybe even avoid fighting him altogether by going out in a blaze of glory after beating Wilder and following his missus into the movies.
With his looks, real life fighting pedigree, and Hollywood connections, Wlad, if he wanted to, could probably make even more money as a Scharzenegger style action hero than he made as a boxer. He would likely be a better actor than Arnie, as a matter of fact.Last edited by kafkod; 01-23-2015, 10:48 AM.
