Who gives a F@#k about what one side "appears" to be doing when that side is known for lying just like the other side is.Because Pacquiao's side appears more determined to get it done. Even their determination is rebranded as desperation by Floyd's side which ought to raise some eyebrows. C'mon people. Manny is saying he's scared, he can beat him, that if he cares about the fans he'd sign on. What has Floyd saying? Just junk. If not a duck then he's simply not representing himself very well.
So you willing to go along with known liars as long as it looks good?
Cool if that is good for you I won't knock it. Don't make sense to me but its also not for me.
Respect the honesty in your answer though!Comment

salesmen, easy women, cars, bosses, priests.
It doesn't necessarily mean its better to just not believe anything at all. These guys saying it on the record. Sure you have to watch the specific wording of what they say, but its on the record and they'll be held accountable in the future. if all this was a publicity stunt to promote the manny movie, everyone, not just Floyd supporters, gonna tell these guys off.
people who want to say they waiting to reserve judgement, well they gonna be waiting for when arum, mayweather, pacquiao are dead. nothing that is 100percent truth will come out until ESPN year 2215 when they do a true story documentary.Comment

It doesn't make sense cause people are believing known liars.
What you wait for is a signed and announced fight. I am not saying wait for either side to tell the truth cause they are never going to do that. Besides winning at the negoiation table this is also about winning or at least looking decent in the PR war.
So with knowing that it doesn't make sense to me for some of the people here to be so personally invested in the words of known liars.Comment

In my view, once SHO & HBO are in talks to co-telecast the event, the fighters terms are set. We're obviously not insiders into their negotiations. But, that's a standard practice. They cannot fairly divvy up the potential tv revenue until they determine the price tag of each fighter. There are many. I was disappointed in his decision to essentially waste his 2006 against the winner and loser of Judah-Baldomir, with much better fights on the table. Guerrero was a similar set-up and entirely unimpressive. I'm not a fan of his lifestyle either. We could go on but how childish is this, really? We are discussing the negotiations between Mayweather and Pacquiao. Tell me, how has he hurt the negotiation process with his actions?
So once Floyd spoke out against Arum and blaming him after the SHO/HBO meetings, he's talking about changing the terms. Or he's just refusing to fight because he believes Arum is involved and he obviously hates the guy. I'm sure CBS/Time Warner and SHO & HBO are not happy with Floyd.Comment

Arum first came out and said Mayweather was holding everything up and didn't reference the networks. Then Mayweather came out and said that negotiations weren't far as long as Arum and Co. were leading onto the public. Impossible to say whether he was referencing to the TV deal or there was more than that.In my view, once SHO & HBO are in talks to co-telecast the event, the fighters terms are set. LA Times is saying Mayweather isn't committing until Showtime/HBO come up with a deal that he believes is fair to Showtime. Hopefully he's not just looking for an out and or is impeding on HBO/SHO's ability to work out a deal. It would seem though the TV deal and getting both parties to ultimately put pen to paper once contracts are drawn up are the remaining hurdles.Comment

What Floyd said publicly served no one, especially SHO. Why not stay quiet and let their negotiations continue? He obviously has the right to say anything he wants publicly, but badmouthing Arum and talking negatively about the negotiations doesn't help to make the fight happen. Now SHO & HBO have to ignore what he said and hope he doesn't change the terms.Comment

In case you haven't noticed, Arum has been bad-mouthing him throughout this process. Before Floyd even spoke. Like I said, you just want an excuse to blame him. What Floyd said publicly served no one, especially SHO. Why not stay quiet and let their negotiations continue?
