Ariza: Floyd fighting on May 2, but not vs Pacquiao

If this fight doesn't happen we all need to stop buying Floyd and Pac PPVs. Enough is enough, we as fans have to make a statement.

We can't just let them get away with this garbage while we give them our money.

Maybe if we boycotted back in 2009 instead of riding our favorite fighter's ****, it would have already happened.

Man I haven't bought one of their fights since 2011.... I'm slowly being converted to UFC by friends and I don't want that....

Think about it; you're essentially saying that Floyd could announce that he is going to fight an undefeated amateur on PPV. Despite the obvious potential for a fight like that to flop, resulting in millions lost, Showtime would be forced to air it- because they have no opt-out provision in their contract. Ridiculous.

No, because in the contract they have pre-agreed upon fighters that floyd can select. So no Floyd cannot just select anyone. If they did have an opt out clause, don't you think they would enforce it when floyd ducks. I mean c'mon, they realize what the ppv #'s are going to look like after this goes down.

People were su****ious of Pacquiao because he refused random testing, not cuz he was with Ariza. The fight would have happened a while ago if that wasn't the case.

Not if the contract doesn't stipulate who Mayweather must fight. Also, an opt-out clause would include provisions for when and under what circumstances it could be exercised. Still waiting for that reliable source to support your statement that Showtime has no opt-out clause. Take your time, I'll wait.

I'm just trying to figure out why some of you people just make up **** out of thin air. Can you back up anything you said with facts? You're gathering info? From where? Noone knows the specific of Mayweathers contract except mayweather and showtime, both of which haven't specified the contract.
