But i will i promise you that. Taking your points and proving you absolutely wrong is just a chance i wouldn't pass up.
I'm not betting points or any crap. I'm a man. If you're right, I'll come here and admit it. Of course, that would involve providing a link to the agreement, which no one has seen. Take a week, take a year.

    • It's obvious what's happened here, there were negotiations taking place between Floyd's camp and Pacquiao's camp. While the threat of Cotto-Canelo happening on May 2nd still existed, Floyd had no other opponent other than Manny that could take precedence over that fight and date.

It was obvious he was buying time to see if he could persuade Cotto into a rematch but needed Manny there just in case. Cotto ticks all the Mayweather boxes when it comes to picking opponents:

Relatively safe bet Floyd wins? Yes (beat him before, more of the same expected)
      Belts for bragging rights? Yes
Hispanic fighter required for May 2nd? Yes
Opponent will take much less money? Yes
      Intangibles? None

Come on guys it's blatantly obvious, before Cotto/Canelo got canned we had the highest hopes for the May/Pac fight, a week after and we're here depressed waiting on the official announcement of Mayweather Cotto 2.....

It wouldn't be a link to the agreement, but it would be multiple sources agreeing with my position.

        Didn't you just post this:
"There is no way, on God's green earth, that a company like Showtime would hand that contract to Will Smith, let alone Floyd Mayweather. None. Zero. Zilch. And if Dan said that then Bob Arum probably told him that."

        ???

haha wow that's a huge change in about 5 minutes..... Where did the confidence go?

Just for the record i will be getting the information.

Is this the victory you're looking for? Because you obviously want an internet win.

Kellerman said months ago that Mayweather would use the Pacquiao 'negotiations' to secure the May 2nd date. Don't know if he said Floyd would fight Cotto though.

Floyd-Cotto 2 was the fight I was dreading when Martinez v Cotto was put together. A fight for a fake crown.

You got that right man, Cotto beats a one legged Martinez and Floyd sees another title/weight division to add to his false legacy....

Not really, but i thought it was extremely ridiculous for you to butt in** and go on this tangent about how impossible it is.

                    • If this fight doesn't happen we all need to stop buying Floyd and Pac PPVs. Enough is enough, we as fans have to make a statement.

We can't just let them get away with this garbage while we give them our money.

Maybe if we boycotted back in 2009 instead of riding our favorite fighter's ****, it would have already happened.
