HOLLYWOOD, California The speculation of a Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather mega fight was the talk of the red carpet at the Hollywood premier of Manny.
It's on the brink of becoming reality. If this fight comes to fruition it's going to break all records, said boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard.
Everybody wants to see that fight. It's the dream fight hopefully one day, said popular UFC ring girl Arianne Celeste.
The Pacman said the waiting game continues. Mayweather has until the end of the month to sign the contract.
We'll hintayin natin yung decision nila, he said.
However, one man familiar with both fighters said the fight won't happen.
Alex Ariza, Pacquiao's former strength and conditioning coach who now works with the undefeated Mayweather, said there's one man to blame if the fight fails.
It's not going to happen. We're fighting May 2nd but it's not going to be Manny Pacquiao, he said. Hopefully eventually Bob Arum will blow away in the wind or whatever. As soon as we get rid of him, we can get it on.
Ariza said that Mayweather will fight again in May.
Top Rank has said that Pacquiao's camp has agreed to all of Mayweather's terms, while HBO and Showtime are negotiating the pay per view television rights of the proposed mega fight.
If the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight does not happen, several opponents have been floated around for both fighters.
Mayweather may have rematch with Miguel Cotto, while Danny Garcia and Amir Kahn may face Pacquiao.

Originally posted by ADP02I said that Ariza's interview is a big fat joke. Sorry but the news of late contradicts with what Ariza said. Also, Ariza contradicted himself.
The only news has been the repeated reporting of what Arum and Pac have said in regards to agreeing to terms. This is what he is attempting to debate in the video.
Manny's team can't sign until the Networks come to an agreement too. Right? .....
Yes Ariza's point exactly.
but what Arum and Manny are saying is that whatever the demands that were issued unto Manny were agreed upon. That to me is very easy to understand.
See the tough part here is that Floyd hasn't issued any public demands in this round of negotiations yet. We have no idea what Manny really agreed to. This is what Ariza is getting at, he is saying that Arum keeps saying that everything is agreed to when it clearly isn't. He is frustrated that Arum is imposing a deadline on Floyd to agree to a fight that is still in negotiations. The negotiations are NOT over, despite what Arum keeps saying.
Floyd's team would have been insanely dumb to have missed in their demands any of the major issues. So perhaps some minor items which were not asked by the Floyd's team were not agreed since was not initially mentioned. Who knows.
I don't know that I understand what you are saying here. The fight is still currently in negotiations meaning that the terms are being WORKED on. Nothing is finalized, he can't agree to demands that are still being negotiated between camps
Again, Manny's side has been saying that they agreed. There is less than 10 days left in the month. You mean to tell me that Floyd's team didn't mention something important by now to Manny's team? Sorry but I nor anyone reasonable does NOT buy that for a second nor should you IF you were objective about it.
What did Manny's side agree on? Where/What are Floyd's terms? Terms are typically outlined in a CONTRACT. Where is the contract? Did Arum send a contract? Did Floyd send a contract? This is the whole point of the video. Ariza is bashing Arum for playing "hardball" and imposing a deadline for Floyd to sign a FICTIONAL CONTRACT.
It's pretty simple, Manny could not have agreed to EVERYTHING because things such as purse split, promotional company, etc. are still being worked out. There is no agreement as there is no contract that has been signed or even offered at this point.
A verbal commit means nothing. High school athletes verbally commit to play at schools all the time and then when SIGNING day comes they change their minds.
Ariza is upset that Arum is downplaying the fact that there are still ONGOING negotiations. He is upset that the media keeps mentioning an agreement and contracts when there is no agreement or contract that is on the table waiting for Floyd's signature.
It's hard to agree to a fight that you haven't even been offered yet.
It's like if you were offered a job after an on the spot interview and the interviewer said you would be paid 80k/year. You can verbally agree, but if the contract says 20k/year then the verbal agreement was moot as it didn't really mean anything regarding the offer that was PUT ON THE TABLE.Last edited by Espy; 01-21-2015, 10:21 PM.

according to floyd fans
there were no real negotiations.
showtime and hbo ceo's just get together to troll us boxing fans.
the "no negotiation stance is getting old" they had already used that in 2010- where they had said theres no mediation either.
floyd havent said what floyd apologies is saying here. weird how much floyd fans could defend and rationalize the "no real negotiation stance"
i'm sure showtime and hbo executive got some drafts on the agreements.
i'm sure too that floyd and manny exchange drafts of contracts too.
im sure too that floyd had sent manny his demands on the fight.
im sure hbo and showtime as big as corporation as they are wont duck a money making venture over splits as long as they have a profit in their capital.
only floyd fans would make this a bigger issue as they are.

Sorry but that is not what is going on. Floyd gave his demands and Manny/Arum agreed. You seem to miss the big picture. Unless they are newbies at this, Floyd demanded that Manny agree on PEDs testing, Date, money, and a few other key points. In other words, the major issues that had to be resolved. Manny/Arum agreed on those items. It is nearly the end of the month so it does not make any sense that Floyd didn't bring up the major points.
You say that there has been no news but sorry but that too is not true. Just last week, it was reported that the Networks were the only major hurdle left. ALL other points was just academic. Only Floyd was the wild card in this.
If you are right, then it is Floyd's fault for negotiating in a ****** manner but what you say does NOT make any sense. Time is very important at this stage.
If all the major points were not discussed then the negotiations up to this point was all a big joke. Who is to blame if you are right? FLOYD's TEAM.
Why? Because they demanded some but not all of the major points which were negotiated and agreed upon. Then you are saying that Floyd comes back with new demands? ......... which I will have to call ROADBLOCKS!!!
That is why I say it is all a big joke by Ariza.
Floyd was harping on Manny's PPV # and other stuff. What? It's all a joke. Ariza sounded like its all Arums' fault but then he says that the 2012 $40 million offer was great for Manny. What a big joke!
You want to believe Ariza go ahead but its funny because not too long ago, Floyd and FLoyd fans hated Ariza.
