    He was never 'highly skilled'.

He was a decent fighter with good power. A highly skilled fighter doesn't have any trouble with the likes of Arreola, his power bailed him out in that rematch.

He was well beaten by Wilder and had no answer for the jab, that's it.

I was thinking, from watching the fight, that he seemed more overtrained than anything else. This fight was looming for a long time, delays etc.

You train so much and the body simply does not respond as well. Even all that is just a hunch. Getting rocked and Drilled in the Face can make a fighter sluggish also

Stiverne may have become dehydrated when he pissed himself after taking his first punch from Wilder.

Seriously though, the guy's in the hospital because he took some bad shots for 12 rounds. Ask Don if he ever visits Gerald. The parasite is simply trying to milk out another payday from Bermane. Meanwhile Magomed returned to the hospital last week with blood & bone infections, it appears his body is failing him. I hope Stiverne makes a full recovery and never takes that kind of punishment again.

I wonder if he isn't in hospital due to the damage he sustained, he ate a lot of flush Wilder right hands. Punches that left other opponents out cold, or even spasming. I remember thinking during the fight that Stiverne better go and get checked out after this.

I'm not surprised. After all, it was very grueling fight in which he took a huge pounding from Deontay. He was on the verge of being stopped several times to the point where a TKO would have been justified from the amount of punishment he was absorbing in the contest. I just hope and pray that he was not seriously injured or had his career ruined as a result of this bout.

He ALWAYS fought like that. problem is that wilder didn't fight ****** and stayed in his range. So stiverne had nothing to counter.

He is making excuses for having his ass whooped. He talked a lot of sht and did not back it up like Wilder did. Now, he is trying to force the public into wanting a rematch on the premise that, "he was not 100% doe."

                      Nah.
