    stiverne in hospital for dehydration

The former WBC heavyweight champion, who lost his belt Saturday to Deontay Wilder at the MGM Grand, was severely dehydrated and is in good spirits at a Las Vegas hospital.

This would explain why he was so slow and lethargic in the fight

House said Stiverne was coherent during the fight, but admitted he was unable to get his punches off like he wanted. House said Stiverne trained hard in camp, but said he didn't monitor his nutrition and fluid intake the way he should have.
Completely unprofessional. The dude was fighting for a HW belt ffs.

Wonder why would he dehydrate himself for the fight when he doesn't need to cut weight....

The only other reason guys do that before a fight is PEDs/diuretics (trying to pee/sweat everything out)

Simply forgot to drink anything? Nahhhh not buying that

Bull****. I dont believe it one bit. They're faking this there is no way... he weighed in at 240 i mean only an idiot would fall for this. Theres no way they didn't monitor his food/liquid intake before the biggest heavyweight fight in years. Just some made up bs for an excuse to get a rematch.

Even if it's true, it's not an excuse. Mistakes in camp reflect as much on a fighter as what happens in the ring.

Seems an odd reason, Stiverne doesn't strike me as someone who would care.

I'm not sure I buy this whole dehydration story, especially since it appears to have come from Don King.
