If May/Pac happened you'd move the date to June and fight in NYC. You've agreed to all the terms and have been waiting for weeks on the guy to sign.

Suddenly you hear that Mayweathers advisor has been reaching out to Cotto for a fight. You start to wonder if this is why the fight still not signed? Is Cotto going to make me wait and then make a backhand deal at the last minute to fight Floyd and leave me with no opponent? So you tell Oscar Give him a deadline. We can't afford to get screwed. Either he wants to fight us or not but we're not going to be jerked around.

How is it bluffed? He was waiting for floyd to make his decision. If the fight does happen then he was banking on fighting canelo in june. Canelo is the one that decided to call it off prematurely. Who is canelo gonna fight Kirkland who the casuals know nothing about or clottey?

it doesn't matter who canelo fights next because it will be on regular hbo. so the casuals aren't even needed for his next fight. canelo could fight you and 40,000 people will show up in san Antonio.

so the fight not happening falls on cotto not canelo. gbp has done everything they could over the last yr too make cotto/canelo.

This is the negotiation process and sides take hard stances for a better deal.

You know damn well if it was the other way around and it was Canelo making backhand deals to screw Cotto you and all the other Cotto fans here would be screaming at how shady Canelo was. How Canelo didn't sign b/c he didn't want the fight and how Cotto agreed to all of Canelos demands. . But because it was your boy Cotto then it's all good right?

Doing backhand deals when you're negotiating with a fighter is ok as long as you're a fan of the fighter. It's the guy getting screwed that's the coward and idiot.

Neither ODLH nor Canelo get it ..... Ginger isn't a star in the US, he's only a star in Mexico. The majority of US based fans don't really know him or want to watch him. He's not the second coming of ODLH because he doesn't have the history Oscar has in the US.

He's going to continue to flop if he's counting on PPV's in the US. I believe he's hovering below @400,00 PPV. There's no market for him outside of the hard-core US fan and Mexicans and many of the HC US fans would rather stream the fight than pay for it.

For starters Canelo isn't a star, the boy had a chance to become a star when he got a shot at Floyd and failed like the c level fighter he is. He doesn't have the corner or the skills to be anything but a bum with a suckers attitude. The only thing he has going for him is being Mexican. Mexican people will support him like black people support Ward, TC, B-Hop, Floyd and other black fighters. But calling this kid a star is stretching it way to far. Star's know how to step up when given the opportunity the way he should have done against Floyd. But the world saw how weak the boys skills were that night and how one dimensional he is. Floyd had the kid swinging at the ropes and frustrated the boy like it was a sparring match at TMT gym.... Star you say, I say young fool who doesn't know his place. Any fighter that says he don't want to have to chase a fighter because the guy uses footwork will never be a star......
