Credit because I knew he'd destroy Stiverne? I'm not discreditting Wilder but I didn't consider this a big win, at all.
Reason being, Stiverne has a loss to a 15-17 guy already, his claim to fame is winning a vacant title over a guy who shouldn't have been fighting for it over the likes of Chagaev, Pov, Perez and Abdusalamov (at the time)
and who had just lossed to a blown up Cruiserweight.
Stiverne, truthfully, was as big a question mark as Wilder to me and I based my prediction off the fact that Stiverne looked like absolute **** against the only other tall man he fought.. which IMO is a testament to how good he "isn't".
All credit to Wilder for proving me right.. but I'm honestly not sure how good a win over Stiverne is.. the fact that he didn't struggle speaks volumes, though. So because he didn't have any trouble - I can make assumptions and possibly rate him higher than he actually is. Who knows?Comment

That doesn't have to do with anything leading upto the fight. What was your pick on the poll?Credit because I knew he'd destroy Stiverne? I'm not discreditting Wilder but I didn't consider this a big win, at all.

Stiverne took plenty of chances, what are you talking about? Why do you think he was getting nailed in the face over and over? He stood there and tried walking him down.Who wasn't? I said it a million times. They are different types of fighters. One guy presses with headmovement and hooks, tries to win a war of attrition and actually touch his man.
The other guy does nothing against tall fighters and has no answer for a jab.. not even a damn parry.
It's apples and oranges. You can think Stiverne is better than Chisora all you want.. but the fact remains Stiverne isn't willing to take the chances that Chisora is willing to take and because of that he instantly becomes better than Stiverne against those type of challenges.
I picked Wilder to win before teh 4th based on the fact that Ray Austin couldn't miss a right hand. I was wrong... but he still dominated.
Wilder's defense is really no different than what Vitali does, and that's use that lean back/keep distance. Even if Chisora does land his power is nowhere near Stiverne's power shots.Comment

Wlad has also lost against journey men in his career lol, lots of guys do, doesn't mean you're a bum. Guys improve, get better.Credit because I knew he'd destroy Stiverne? I'm not discreditting Wilder but I didn't consider this a big win, at all.

Haye looked like **** against Valuev, Valuev could've easily won. If you want to discredit Wilder's opponent because of this fine, but do the same with Wlad, Haye is his best career win.Comment

I'm well aware of that, however Wlad has put that behind him x10000000 at this point. Stiverne hasn't.. because he hasn't been fighting that high a level of competition.Wlad has also lost against journey men in his career lol, lots of guys do, doesn't mean you're a bum. Guys improve, get better.

Povetkin has.. if Povetkin lost to a 15-17 guy I can effectively say that because he has beaten Takam, Chagaev, Wawrzyk, Huck (i thought huck won), Boswell, Chambers, Byrd etc etc, you get the picture. I could effectively say that he's not the same dude.
But Stiverne still, to me, hasn't made any major leaps yet. He won a vacant title by fighting someoen who shouldn't have even been fighting for it as well. That's all I'm saying..Comment

Now all of a sudden stiverne was terrible and should have magically gained fast feet overnight
I been saying stiverne has slow feet and that's why he will lose
Check my post history
Now you have geniuses saying stiverne was always a bum after the fight
No
He's not a bum
Styles makes fights
He tried his heart out
Stiverne still has fast hands and a great chinComment
