According to David Mayo of grand rapids press, who knows Floyd well, an insider told him the fight will not happen because Arum told the media Pacquiao wants to fight Floyd, they are mad over comments Arum made.

I believe the network excuse. Espinoza came out and spoke on what is going on. Someone other than both camps. Why would he say anything about the problems with HBO when HBO can come back. Those two companies are huge. Fight will happen because corporate America is greedy and if the negotiations got this far then they will find a way to supply and demand. Fight is going to happen.

CBS, Showtime's parent company, and Time Warner, HBO and Warner Brothers parent company, co own the CW (tv channel). they have a working relationship. i think they'll make it happen.

I do agree this fight will happen, I also believe it's greed that's holding things up and when you have this much money on the line everyone will reach for as much as they can. One thing for sure is it'll be a shame if this falls through because of the networks.

As far as it relates to Floyd-Pac, Oscar isn't really offering new info here - just reiterating that it's complicated - I think we all know that much. It's just an opinion based on all the stuff we all know. He qualified it by saying he is not on the inside and his opinion is that of a fan.


Now, what he might be doing is just be taking the network stall opportunity to say **** all these fools..realizing he needs Canelo now more than ever. Either that or force Cotto to come back to the table when he has less leverage than he does now. HE still wouldn't have to fight Canelo as he could be in some sort of long term plan to be there for Floyd if he beats Pac. Hopefully none of this has any bearing on Floyd-Pac
