Cotto is b*itch, last year he declined to fight canelo for 10 million guaranteed and instead fought martinez. How long does canelo have to wait. He wants the fights he has more chance of winning. He has a better chance against floyd, plus he will make more money.

Agreed if this + may-pac falls apart just another reason NOT to be a boxing fan.

You guys are so gullible, Canelo vs Cotto can't be signed yet, because they can't compete with Pac vs May, hell there would be no network to put Canelo vs Cotto in, since both HBO and Showtime would be transmitting Pac vs Floyd.

Cotto is weight his options smartly, if Pac vs Floyd doesn't get made, Cotto gets Mayweather, if Pac vs Floyd gets made for May 2, Cotto gets to fight cannel on the eve of the PR parade and if Pac vs Floyd gets signed for a different date, Cotto still gets Canelo on May 2 for the lions share.

Its is simple to see, but you guys don't thin at all.

We all know Mayweather is at the end and it'lol be Cotto's last & only chance to get another crack at Mayweather (if pac fight don't happen)where Canelo has plenty of fight left and the fight can come afterwards and Oscar said that if negotiations start over again with Cotto that they'll be the A side and won't bend backwards again but that is only if Cotto does fight and beat Mayweather and I'm not saying he is but Cotto is at the end of his career as well and he's looking at leaving with a lot of money

These children here on these forums don't understand this. Cotto is smart here on waiting and not jumping to conclusions.

Some calling Cotto here a diva when Canelo is insisting on a May 2 date that might go to a Pac/Floyd fight.

Canelo is being emotional on a date for a fight that will sell very good any other date

That's what Cotto doesn't want to accept. Canelo can literally fight ANYBODY and do great numbers, maybe not PPV worthy but still better than anyone else can do not on PPV

At this stage of Cotto's career, he needs a Pac or a Mayweather, nothing else will warrant a PPV level fight. He thinks that being the "A-side" is the end all and be all to the situation. No, it's not, he is at the end of his career and has worked his way to a certain level while other up and comers are at a stage that he was once at earlier in his career. These other guys have hype behind them and will have people watching their fights regardless of who they fight because they are viewed as the future of the sport.

It's only by building one's own brand and by breaking the molds, can a person dictate their worth, much like Floyd did to get where he is and Cotto did, now Canelo is doing it.

These older guys need to realize that they don't hold the sport hostage because of their "stardom", the world keeps turning and there will be a changing of the guard regardless of whether they want/like it or not.
