What a dumb move by Hoya and Canelo to pull this s##t off, how is Cotto suppose to sign a contract if that May 2nd date might go to May vs Pac. GBP has a chance to put on a ppv event this year where they can make a lot of money, and they are going to act like amateurs in negotiations smh.

However GGG has a fight in February I believe and I'd think Canelo would be weary of making a deal with a guy who still has a fight to do before his. He might get cursed the way Ortiz did and end up fighting another Josesito Lopez.
GGG is fighting in May regardless, Canelo wants to fight in May= make this fight instead.
Cotto only considered Canelo when he had a "sprained ankle", he doesnt want to fight an uninjured Canelo

This is bad news cause if Canelo-Cotto doesn't happen, that also may mean that Mayweather-Pacquiao doesn't happen either because Canelo-Cotto is the only fight that would have competed with May-Pac on May 2nd.... Now that there's no competition for the 5 de Mayo date, Mayweather can fight whoever and still get the date... but I get the feeling Cotto was stalling because he's waiting on a better offer to fight Mayweather in May... That would be some move by team Mayweather if they get Cotto for May... They get to keep the date, make big money, take away Cotto from Canelo and once again avoid the Pacquiao fight.... That is boxing nowadays sigh

Who's the real diva here? Canelo-Oscar can't continue to wait through more negotiating while Floyd-Pac can still negotiate at this time?Isn't Canelo-Cotto either happening in May or June? So Canelo is bigger than boxing I suppose... he has deadlines even ahead of Floyd-Pac ROFL
