Pascal is dumb. He did the samething vs Hopkins. Why not put it in the contract? Now hes asking for it out of nowhere. Those kind of things should be fixed before the fight is signed...
Kovalev ducking random testing?

Duva's in on it, she will have known when she signed him and agreed to protect him from having to do random testing.hahah, there's some bull**** excuse from from Duva. I'm not accepting in any of that hiding behind the promoter nonsense.

Why did Pascal wait until after the contract was signed to bring up testing? Sounds more like a tactical move on his part.
I agree with Weebler in that Main Events and Kovalev should just do it. But at the same time, I can understand them telling Pascal to fuck off with his demands because the contract is signed.Comment

thats one of the most ret@rded responses cop outs that I've ever seen. good reply? hahahahaha
anyone thats not below the age of 5 knows that if kovolev (or any other fighter) wants to go through with randomized testing promoters managers or networks has absolutely zip to do with that & can't control if they actually choose to do it. obviously kovelev took a strong dislike towards the extra test & duva is trying to save face as best as she can.................
good response? that made the entire thing look even worse.........Comment

She does make one good point, Pascal said he is willing to go through with the fight if Kovalev fails a test, Duva isn't willing to go ahead if Pascal fails a test.
What I take from it is Main Events are a small promoter who can't afford for an event not to happen in the event of a positive drug test.Comment

No, she's perfectly willing. In fact, she's for it. She's just saying it would be legally difficult to do it like that. And Pascals' response ("She should be concerned about the health of the fighters, instead of losing money on a promotion," ) suggests he'd be perfectly willing to get tested even if it meant a cancelled fight.
Anyway, there's nothing stopping Kovalev from getting tested without Kathy's approval. That's a fighters' decision that can't be stopped by a promoter. Cananda actually has its own random testing program ran by the commission regulators so it's a bull**** excuse.Comment

She was clear man, "if someone tests positive for banned substance, the fight cannot happen".No, she's perfectly willing. In fact, she's for it. If the fight cannot happen the entire promotion is lost, and Main Events can't take that hit.Comment
