    Same thing with Manny.

It's not possible without the full cooperation of both networks. You aren't talking about a couple of non-PPV fighters or the network not caring what network they fight on because they weren't interested in picking up the broadcast rights to fight with a no-name mandatory.
No, I already KNOW they wouldn't be happy with it, but as I said, the networks need these fighters. The fight doesn't need the networks. They could put in on Fat Oprah Winfrey's network and still do 3 Million PPVs.

I guess it would come down to whether or not either network could drag them into court over a breach of contract. To do that, it would have to state that they are not allowed to box under another network until their contractual obligations are complete or buy themselves out.

Floyd and, to a lesser degree, Manny are both in positions where they could tell HBO and Showtime to screw themselves. I've just wondered if it's written into the contract that they aren't allowed to box elsewhere.

I get that the point is moot because no one on here is going to know for sure unless they get a peek at those contracts.

Networks should split revenue consistent with whatever %s the fighters agree on. Showtime 60 - HBO 40. (Assuming May and Manny have a 60/40 split)

The Superbowl of boxing. I tend to believe Watson than Nathanielz.
        Exactly what I was thinking.

This article seems to parrot this Espinoza interview where he said the network deal and the fight deal are intertwined and the fight deal parallel talks between HBO and Showtime. He never stated this is the only factor holding the fight up. http://www.boxingscene.com/sho-exec-...ways-go--86372

These stations need to realise boxing needs this fight to happen and boxing is a key component of their business.

People have no vision these days it's all about today.

The winning fighter's network should be the one that gets to televise the tape delayed broadcast.

HBO needs to step back and stop blocking the fight.

They know, like majority of the boxing public knows, how this fight will play out.

This fight can't come fast enough.

i really find it hard to believe that mayweather has agreed to a 60-40 split. and i knew HBO was going to be a problem when the sex offender and harasser jim lampley went on his anger rage towards mayweather and showtime for no reason at all.
