That they are smart businessmen and they don't wanna lose their top draw. Hbo looks bad in all of this though. If the deal doesn't go through for this reason, they will get a lot of negative backlash n rightfully so. It was showtime and the big wigs over at CBS that put this together. i really find it hard to believe that mayweather has agreed to a 60-40 split. and i knew HBO was going to be a problem when the sex offender and harasser jim lampley went on his anger rage towards mayweather and showtime for no reason at all.

Everything he said was true, do we need a reason to state the truth now? Anyway in this day and age of the internet/youtube do they really think people are going to subscribe to the networks to watch a week old fight they already know the outcome of?

Why can't they both show the delayed broadcast? People who don't have showtime won't sign up just to see the fight a week later. They both should air it at the same time.

Showtime has no pull, they had one out of the top 20 most viewed fights this year, HBO had the rest. But, this article does not sound like it's network dispute, sounds like Floyd is stalling and they are using the networks as the reason. The simple solution is for both to have a re-air the week after. HBO has many more viewers than Showtime does and all of their fights are watched by more people.

You have Pac publicly calling Floyd out, saying he is cool with everything, sign the contract and Floyd is nowhere to be found having his people say that he is interested. No need for anything additional, Floyd is the one stalling here.

Right, very familiar pattern of Pac calling out Floyd, and already being signed to fight someone else. He's fighting Jesse Vargas next. How can HBO play hardball when legally, they don't even have a dog in the hunt? This deal can easily be done without them. So if Pac wants the fight so badly. Why not tell them agree to the Lewis-Tyson arrangement or kick rocks?
