Don't put HBO in that category... I didn't like the fact they wouldn't use the terms from the lewis tyson deal about the replay... I'll admit didn't like that one bit.

However, I think that it would prevent floyd from changing demands when the SHO and HBO deal is done... not 100% sure about that.
Why wouldn't Floyd agree to the terms he set?

        First it was PED
        then it was purse split
        then it was Pac
then it was Floyd then it was Arum
        Now it is the network

When are all this things gonna end?

Answer: as long as cotto is available everything is still up in the air

Idk.... it's a question that bothers me. Apparently he has said he wants the networks to figure it out first, but why wouldn't you sign it? The PR would be spectacular, and if it fails the networks take the fall.

Then he just made it up and he really don't want to fight Pacquiao.

this what hbo/showtime had to go through when they were doing tyson/lewis

              Devil in the details

Beyond finances, the networks had to hash out a laundry list of issues.

" 'Production, marketing, distribution of pay-per-view revenue, closed circuit, international (TV revenue)' and so on down the line," Greenburg said. "There is a lot on the table. At the same time, I don't think you're going to see us banding together for a series of fights."

One critical issue negotiated was that of the actual telecast. Neither company logo would appear on screen, and a neutral announcer team would be hired. However, with top announcers such as Marv Albert and Al Michaels unavailable, the lineup was shuffled to blend the network teams. Each network also will have a team call the fight for a potential delayed broadcast. If Lewis wins, HBO will pay Showtime $3 million and use its taped version. If Tyson wins, Showtime pays HBO and will air a replay.

As to ring announcers, Jimmy Lennon Jr. has long been identified with Showtime and Michael Buffer with HBO, so they'll share duties. Lennon will introduce Tyson, and Buffer will introduce Lewis. If Lewis wins by knockout, Buffer will announce the winner. If Tyson wins by KO, Lennon will announce the new champion. And if it goes the distance, they'll alternate reading the scores so as not to rob the world of the drama.

It makes sense to wait til all the t's are crossed and I's dotted. Floyd will get the blame if the fight doesn't happen even if it's the networks fault.

A better question would be why would you believe Bob Arum when he says that Pacquaio has agreed to all the terms set by Mayweather. Arum could be lying about this the same way that De La Hoya lied about Alvarez agreeing to terms set by Cotto.

Arum lied about terms being agreed to in 2010 when he created his phony countdown clock. In reality, he had never spoken to anyone from the Mayweather camp. Arum has a history of lying and is more than likely lying about negotiations now.

Idk about this conclusion either.... all i can say is idk. Apart of me feels like he does, and another part of me feels like he's having second thoughts. I felt like i had a good grasp of everything last night, and after reading the updates i'm just lost.

You either understand that there is nothing to sign, or you dont.

The difference between Floyd and Manny is that Manny doesnt care about the network's deal. Floyd does, because there is real bad blood there between him and HBO.
