I don't know why he spoke up and neither do you. I doubt very much it was the public or he'd be speaking every day. So nix that nonsense. Anyway, bottom line is that the CEO wouldn't negotiate unless he knew his side was all for it. Definitely positive. Let's see what happens.

Cotto's people said they were willing to continue negotiating. It was Canelo who cut off negotiations. Probably because he's married to a May 2 date that Cotto could give a flying **** about.

How do we know that wasn't for a Plan B?

How do we know that wasn't for a possible September bout?

        We don't know.

It was never ON in the first place...both sides were just negotiating to see if both sides can compromise.

I wouldn't be surprised. Makes sense for him. His team wanted to continue negotiating. The issue is that Canelo just wants to fight on May 2. Just silly.

You're right. We don't know. It just all seems very fishy given that Cotto stalled on negotiations all of a sudden. And just because Cotto's manager stated in an interview that Haymon reached out to him a month ago, who's to say he hasn't reached out again since then?

Yeah, who's to say? Who's to say he has? Who's to say he reached out to him for fashion advice? We don't know.

Cotto and team were willing to continue to negotiate with Canelo.
