Unwise of Canelo to act impatient in this situation. Very unwise. If Cotto is indeed waiting for news on the May/Pac fight then fair enough, why would you want to fight at the same time as the biggest fight in this era? Canelo needs to realise that, as some people have already said, he is not big enough ('yet', maybe) to act impatient and pushy over these kinds of things. Be patient, wait and see how things unfold over the next week or two and see if the landscape opens up for you to fight or not. Nothing wrong with these two fighting a week or so after May 2nd.

*I understand Canelo wants to establish himself as the big Mexican star that fights on PPV on Cinco de Mayo, but at this point in his career to try and force his way into that position when he is up against a possible May/Pac event is very foolish. Canelo acts like he didn't fight Money May and get his ass whooped.

Mayweather was the man before he fought Canelo, was the man on the night he fought Canelo and is still the man now.
