HBO had a very good 2013 too. they didn't have anything as big PPV-wise as mayweather vs canelo but they had a lot of good solid fights that people seem to forget for some reason.

donaire vs rigo (two of the best at 122)

marquez vs bradley (two top ten p4p and highly ranked welterweights)

bradley vs provodnikov (easily a top FOTY candidate)

rios vs alvarado 2 was a great exciting FOTY candidate

adonis stevenson had an exciting 2013 KO'ing chad dawson

mikey garcia vs orlando salido and roman martinez

gennady golovkin stopping rosado, macklin, and stevens. all good exciting fights.

    etc. etc.

Peterson vs Garcia - I have no idea why anyone even cares for that fight, honestly. Garcia's patented "No Look, Left Hook" will demolish Peterson.

Broner vs Molina - Seriously? Why not last year when Molina's stock was up and was practically begging for the fight. Instead we get it after he was dismantled by Soto. SOTO. In fact, Soto vs Broner would have been slightly better in my book.

Thurman vs Guerrero - Good fight all around. We finally get to see Thurman take on a decent name, happy for this.

These are all decent to good fights but nothing to cream your panties over. Perhaps Haymon can pull off a great 2015 but that won't erase history, he made 2014 one of the saddest, most depressing years in boxing for the fans of the sport. Forgive us if we don't jump up for joy and claim Al as our hero for giving us one card out of the many he owes for last year.

Yea it's the foreseeable future looks good but I don't see how it can sustain itself. That's why I see Haymon quickly reverting back to his business ethic of protecting his stars record at all cost.

Sorry but giving us fights that should have happened last year doesn't make up for it. He's going to have to make up for the abysmal year that was 2014 and then more.

I mean all these fights were possible last year but greed caused them not to happen.

Like i said before doe, we should all just live in the moment and what it is now. Lets forget about the politics of 2014 and enjoy some good fights this first quarter of 2015!

We cant change it but we can forget about it. Everybody and everything has a past right, but what do you end up doing?? You forget about it rite? Boxing is no different and should be less thought of because it has no impact on anyones life, unless you are a boxer or something.

Good news is that deontay wilder has a chance to bring the wbc title home where it belongs, and is a haymon fighter too...id imagine wilder may be filling in one of those nbc slots before the end of the year....imagine a wbc heavyweight title fight on NBC? Damn that would be tight.!

Ok now list Showtimes fights for 2013 and let's compare ... It's not a matter of if "they had a good year too", they got smoked in 2013 and they (HBO) took it back in 2014 as long as they are competing it's a good thing. But yea show me that list for 2013 lol I think you'd have to agree the better fights were not on HBO.

When Al Haymon's advised fighters split up with GBP, it didn't sound good. However it has produced us a very unusual good match ups, epecially Thurman vs Guerrero. One has to point out who made Garcia - Salka in the first place? Al Haymon better not be one trick pony after these two event.
