Everybody getting excited that boxing will be on free tv. Only a handful will actually be on NBC that is free to all basic providers.

I am skeptical of this deal and it's intention to grow the casual fan base to become a nationally recognized sport again. This isn't even main stream news in sports FFS. Go to Google News or Yahoo and all sports news is NFL, NBA, Nascar, College ball, etc. Ain't a damn mention of boxing being back on network tv.

Last year i do believe the Schaffer-Oscar break up lead to a lot of bad fights need to just fill the dates Schaffer had already booked....This look good starting this year off...Garcia-Peterson is a fight i have wanted to see for awhile now

It isn't even that good a fight. Peterson is the paperiest champion out there. He got a hometown decision vs. Khan while on the gear and then got annihilated in 3 rounds by a guy Danny beat in 2013.
