Yep April 11th or 18th Manny vs Vargas. The problem is they know Floyd will snatch Cotto from them. This is the preemptive media strike to say see we tried.

It's been going on for a while. And yeah, it's a shame. I don't think Pacquiao is really aware of what's going on but, at this point, he needs to shoulder the blame. No heaping it all on Arum.

Let's be honest you think Arum wants to be able on a press tour with Floyd for two-three weeks hearing Floyd say how much money he's made since he left Top Rank and how Manny is getting screwed out of money. How his PPV numbers are better etc

Pacquiao has already signed the contract, but the ducking is probably starting by Floyd as usual. I am getting sick to my stomach too. Only the delusional Floyd stans can't see the truth.

Arum is doing his usual plan of turning the press and the fans against Floyd so he can have a back door exit to make Pacquiao vs. Vargas.

If Mayweather falls through, you can bet that they will be following the usual plan of having the first fight of the year in the US, and the second fight of the year in Macau. When they fight in the US, pay per view is the most important revenue stream. They won't do a Vargas fight in the US. That is a Macau type fight, where the site fee will be huge no matter who they fight.

They will need a bigger name opponent for this fight, so that is why they need a resolution to these negotiations in the near future...especially if they can't come to an agreement & have to work with another opponent who isn't with Top Rank (i.e. Amir Khan, Garcia, etc). Adding the option of moving down to 140 gives some flexibility, but it still might be tough finding a big name.

Not only that. Pacquiao is Arum's only cash cow. When Pac loses to Floyd the public will lose interest in Pac's fights from here on out. That will ruin the promises he made to Jesse Vargas, Mikey Garcia, Terrence Crawford, etc. when they signed to Top Rank to get them the Pacquiao fight.
