is he going to start slow and get better? you would think he would want to start off with some good fights but i guess not. haymon defenders said he was going to save boxing and if Thurman-guerrero is the best fight on your "good" card then he's not going to be doing any saving.

Obviously this card will be a measuring stick to see how the ratings do, i see Haymon using Showtime for the biggrr marquee match ups, like Broner vs Matthysse id expect to be on Showtime if that fight was to materialize and as far as i remember Haymon still has a good relationship with Showtine

matthysse is with haymon. prov isn't so the likelihood of that fight happening apprears to be zero.

It would probably be on HBO too, vacant title going to purse bid, which I don't see Haymon allowing.

well most ppvs are garbage so you might be right there.

I want good fights and these don't qualify as good fights to me.

but I don't think its a good way to start. this is more of the same from haymon. star building instead of compelling matchups. he's got Garcia, matthysse, broner, and peterson yet broner vs Molina....

is there some rule in boxing where you have to have garbage fights before making good fights? pretty sure that was the whole problem. instead of making the good fights promoters and fighters kept beating around the bush. this is more of the same.

Damn your a tough fan to please. It's a decent card good start.


I like Thurman / Guerrero : It's a name for the resume Thurman's been chasing. I don't think Guererro is a world beater but I got him in my top 10. This is a better Fight then Khan / Alexander. This is a compelling fight to me

I somewhat agree about the Broner / Molina fight nothing really special should be easy work for Broner but Molinas wanted this fight for awhile and you'd think hes going to try and make it exciting and might catch Broner.

its better than the **** main events put on its deal, hes buying the time, its not meant to be top class fights in the long term, the top fights are saved for showtime, lower to mid level for nbc.

showtime no longer has to buy ****ty fights, win win for everyone involved,

Basically this. Haymon haters seem to think Showtime will be left out completely in the cold. N like i said this show will be a measuring stick to guage ratings

ive thought the same thing. I dont think thurman is a hype job tho. he can box and that power is real.....everybody just isnt born with a chin and i think his is suspect. Kovalev too

A result of the epic mismatches we had in 2014. Thurman/Guerrero is a damn good fight but one fight doesn't equate to a great card.

Broner/Molina is a **** fight IMO. Dudes coming off two losses and AB continues to fight subpar opponents for the third consecutive fight.I suppose people just have really low standards.
