Why do Americans hate Deontay Wilder? No support for countrymen.

I think he doesn't get so much hate. As for the racism topic, not sure that Americans but imo there are plenty of low key or not even low key racist on this board but Wilder isn't on their mind so many times yet cause he is unproven who beat mostly tomato cans, the black fighters who they're hating on every time are more likely the more proven, succesfull and famous boxers like May or Ward, they bother them way more. But if Wilder beat Stiveren and gets more hype afterwards he will surely get more and more hate. But again, I don't speak of Americans particularly cause the best American boxers in boxing history were black and people have no problem with it there.

A lot of good white ones too, Tunney, Dempsey, Pep, Greb, Marciano. Definitely dried up in the 70s/80s.

Wilder is like Joshua neither have been tested yet some are already hailing them as future champions. They both need a test someone to take them a few rounds someone that lays a bomb on their chins. If they can take it like they dish it out they've got a chance. Stiverne might be the very man to test Wilder we'll see.

Fans are different here in the US, it has been plenty of athletes over the years who came to the US and became Superstars and was rooted and cheered for like they was Americans...YOU CAN'T DO THAT IN ANY OTHER COUNTRY! I'm African American & I don't care for Wilder for the following reasons: 1) If not for a bogus penalty, Wilder wouldn't have advanced to the semifinals in the 2008 Olympics (In the quarterfinals, his opponent was penalized for a warning, giving Wilder 2 points & the win!). 2) He has fought only tomato cans as a pro, yet is seen as a monster. 3) That BS "fight" with his buddy Malik Scott was the clearest example of a dive I have ever seen. The guy is overrated & undertalented. We should have proof on Saturday night, when Stiverne cleans his clock.

I see a lot of hate for Deontay Wilder. Where is the support? You should be proud to have an American Heavyweught champion. Even if he wins he won't be the real champ but at least you will have someone to root for when/if he fights Klitchko. Stop hating on the man.
