    Lebron James, Tom Brady, Derek Jeter or whoever would quit after a week during an 8 week training camp that a fighter goes through.

        Agreed, some of these training camps for a 12 round professional prize-fight at the top level are more grueling and intense than any training camp for any other sport. Many are closer to military type training, than sports.

        These guys are warriors, modern day gladiators.. not ballplayers. No comparison.

          The fact they fight only a few times a year has more to do with the fact boxing isn't as popular as it once was than they being lazy.
          That's not true. When the guys who fight twice a year make over 10-20 million dollars a fight...why should they fight more than twice?
