While Saul Alvarez is indeed a growing star in the game it is not a idea to base your company solely off him. He has not put up great PPV #'s and he is not exactly the best fighter either. He is somewhat slow, can't cut off the ring properly etc...If Canelo/Cotto does happen..that's a make or break fight for Golden Boy as a promotional company.

Actually...He has a few Prospects that I think can become Stars, I'm a big fan of Frankie Gomez, I think he can become a star

Also Sadam Ali looked very impressive vs Abregu

          of course Canelo and Lemieux

But that leaves room for NO ERROR, these guys MUST BECOME SUPERSTARS, ESPECIALLY CANELO, if not then the promotion will crumble! That puts a ton of pressure on Canelo though, not sure if he is good enough to deliver but we will find out over the next year or so

His handspeed is good, B+ good, but not great. It's those slow as molasses feet and inability to cut of the ring that hinders him the most, not to mention his stamina issues.

Schaefer is the reason why the roster looks like it does. He siphoned all the Golden Boy fighters and funneled them to Al Haymon who he'll link up with to run a promotional outfit outside of GBP.

Then the blame goes back on Oscar again. Richard might have been doing dirty business but it wouldn't have happened if Oscar wasn't sniffing magic powder. Unfortunate
