Everything you say is correct. Still doesn't change Mayweather almost dropped Cotto. And doesn't change Cottos resistance to big punches isn't that great. Canelo is a big puncher. And Cotto is there to be hit. I think if he gets dragged into a war (or a semi-war) he's not going to hold up. I'm a big fan of both fighters and I know both fighters tendencies. I know Cotto will be bouncing in and out like he does when he knows he's in there with someone dangerous, he will try to execute a game plan similar to what he used vs Margarito. Difference is Canelo is ten times the boxer Margarito was and is stronger.

LOL first, cotto fights nothing like mayweather or lara. Second, it was obviously a cash out fight, are you fckng serious? Did you not see 24/7. They were trying to bring METAL knee braces in for the fight because his knees were so unstable, he didnt spar for the fight. Naw, Cotto has preserved himself over the past couple of years taking a page out of Mayweathers book with 1 - 2 fights per year. Roach already said he is fine and good to go, Manny Steward said the same thing. All of Cotto's opponents say it is a lot harder to hit him than they thought. I respect your argument, but those concerns do not exist Roach and before him Steward already addressed them.
