It's pains me to say this somewhat but when he pulled his racist rhetoric on Khan I couldn't condemn him for it, it was his son in there after all, and under those circumstances it's any means necessary.
Now whether he's actually ignorant enough to believe what he was saying I don't know, but as soon as the words came out of his mouth, I knew that he had Amir in his pocket, and at some point in that fight he'd play into his hands in an attempt to prove him wrong.
It was morally out of line but in terms of effectiveness it was the right button to push. I'd imagine that he'd try something similar with Pacquiao. Though there is only so many times that you can pull a stunt like that before people rightly turn their back on you.
