If Schafer back means 2015 is going to look a lot like 2013 I'm all for it. When Schaffer was running things showtime but on some great cards. We'll see how it goes.

This was always how it was always how it was going to end, it was just a matter of when. Haymon needs Schaeffer though and making this deal sooner rather than later keeps Oscar's and Haymon's working relationship to be decent. So it should be win-win, rather than Oscar being a bitter man hell bent on revenge even at his own expense~

Schaefer seemed to have a great relationship with the fighters, and didn't pick side's... and would match them in tough fights. So that's what I'm concerned about if he will continue to do that. Haymon might have other plans.

It looks like Hoya got the bad end in all this, I hope he learns from this and continues to be successful with his company.

What are you talking about working relationship? Didn't you read the article? He did this to cut ties with haymon. He doesn't want to ask his permission anymore to make fights. They are going seperate ways

Benavidez won that fight fair and square. And I'm guessing you think he robbed his own fighter Bradley too right lol or how about his biggest star pacquiao when he got robbed against Bradley I'm guessing bob did that too right. I'm guessing you know something Oscar doesn't because they are still working together. That fight wasn't a robbery by the way.

Seems.the wheels are definitely in motion for a Haymon vs Boxing type year.I'm not worried for GBP, they have Canelo and they will get solid prospects from Mexico or get joint promotion ventures with companies like Zanfer.

This is.good for Oscar, his company is all his, no more shadows lurking in the background.

Just hope Al with maybe some encouragement from Schaeffer, will make fights outside in house.

                Schaefer is a slimeball

Richard Schaefer is a sleazeball turd. Look at that backstabbing lying swindler and think for a second that that is an honest man?? Schaefer is as crooked and vile as Suliaman ever was and is as bad as Don King or panama Lewis. Just the stench and rot of Schaefer infects boxing with a disease for which there is no cure.

He still has the final say on their fights. Its in their contracts with him. ANnd according to Khan, and Fighthype Amir isn't a GB fight anymore the Alexander one was the last on his contract. Oscar has a nonstar Matthysse, Sanata Cruz and Canelo.

A huge drop from #1 promoter in the world

No need. Haymon has 140 fighters and pretty much the whole WW and JMW division. Not to mention with the addition of Chavez jr 168 is almost locked up besides ward/froch of course

Looks like Oscar lost this round is trying to hold on to everything he has. I sincerely doubt Shaeffer had to pay him anything except maybe his share of the stock. The fighters Oscar got aren't that big except Khan, who it seems isn't completely tied to GB either. He wanted Shaeffer out of the game til 2018 and had to settle for 1 year, the past 6 months already included. And I'm pretty sure anytime Danny or Broner or Maidana or any other exGB fighter is on SHowtime it won't be through Oscar. The idiot killed his company.
