interesting, wonder how much scheffeur/haymon had to pay oscar. golden boy is in a pretty ****ed up position right now, they hardly have any fighters and now scheffeur is free to take over mayweather promotions or whatever haymon got planned

Oscar made a ****** move trying to team with Arundel just to spite Floyd. He put all his effort into that canelo cotto fight to knock Floyd off of May only to have cotto say no to May all together and not even try to put on big fights with any other fighters in his stable.
Now haymon has the ww division locked down and is bringing them to regular tv for more exposure and stable pay.
I can tell you this and you heard it here First. Golden boy will merge with top rank and all those fighters haymon took will be money team fighters.

20 of the 24 NBC shows are basically going to be 'Golden Boy on FS1'-level shows, giving all of those prospects that Haymon has locked up opportunities to fight on TV, in addition to the ShoBox cards that will be on Showtime.
The other four NBC shows will basically be SHO Championship Boxing-level telecasts, opening up 15-20 prime dates for star fighters (Garcia, Wilder, Broner, Maidana, Brook, Chavez Jr, etc)
Showtime is going to be just fine

I'm really interested to see who else GBP ends up signing. Sounds like they got a good amount of money and are probably going to continue signing a bunch of prospects and gate keepers

Canelo is bigger than Garcia and Broner put together
This is a successful business model. Everyone involved with both Floyd PPV's this year lost money except for GBP (and Al Haymon)
The fighters that owe Golden Boy a final fight will be on another show, but there's no reason why Haymon has to still work with Oscar, especially with Oscar's move of his one star to HBO, where Haymon is persona non grata

Haymon has 150 fighters, but they all fight on shows put on by Dibella, Goosen, Warriors Boxing, Sampson Boxing, GYM, Mayweather Promotions, Golden Boy and other promotional outfits.
Haymon doesn't control every aspect of an event; he just controls the key aspects. As long as he's got the fighters and the TV relationships, he has no need to actually promote shows.
