This all makes sense with regards to Cotto vs Canelo being drawn out. Mayweather vs Pacquiao on May 2nd, Cotto vs Canelo the following month on the eve of the Puerto Rican Day parade at MSG.
Really looking forward to this year should both fights come off consecutively.
I did consider that and if I manage to drop the feeling that we've been hustled and are able to muster some enthusiasm then I come around to seeing that way.
It'd certainly make it more enjoyable.
I wasn't around, but I read similar sentiments from fans not just about the fight but about how Leonard pulled a Mayweather.
Nobody remembers that today.
Sorry for being a d1ck in the other post...it has been a long day.
yeah right. The top 2 of the division and two of the best current p4p fighting. Cry me a river.
Don't watch if you want to be such an elitist.
What gives you the impression that I'm being an elitist?
I'm a boxing fan first and foremost and a fan of both fighters but as a Floyd fan all I wanted from him was to give the fans one fight where he didn't play the angles. Just one. He didn't do that. What we've got instead is another revenue/risk hustle.
I'll settle for it because it's still the biggest fight to be made. But two past prime fighters cashing out is a long way from being the fight that it could have been. I felt the sport needed this fight 4 or 5 years ago when the UFC was coming on strong and when it would have been a true SuperFight that we could have been proud of.
