Oscar didn't want to put Nelo against Trout or Lara.

Nelo pulled rank and took the fights.

    Real talk

Canelo turned pro at 15, so what weight class he began at doesn't matter...he wasn't even a grown man at that point. He is now a middleweight who drains to fight at 154, perhaps that is the reason he takes rounds off.

in any case, GGG stops him within 8 like Sanchez says

Sanchez is in a round about way saying Canelo is a more skilled opponent than Cotto. Although he say both will end in the same way, but a difference of three rounds. I personally think Canelo is possibly the only truly difficult opponent that GGG can get. It is also the biggest fight. Although Cotto has his Fanboys and Puerto Rican fans, Canelo has all of Mexico and all Mexican Americans watching. It has the potential of being an enormous fight

Oscar could have protected Nelo from Mayweather and waited a few more fights, Nelo wanted the fight and got it.

I see the same thing happening with a GGG fight. Oscar might not want to do it, but Nelo will pull rank and take the challenge.

It still boggles my mind how people hate on this kid. Despite the fact he's popular and has major pull, he choses to fight the tough fights.
ya i actually agree with you here even if oscar is trying to protect canelo hes not doing it very well lets not forget everyone and their mom said canelo was ducking trout then lara im sure theres someone else im forgetting i actually respect canelo big time cause hes willing to fight anyone in the ring. i dont think its a matter of canelo ducking or being protected thats just ridiculous. The guy has done nothing but fight people the public wants him to fight. I honestly dont see him ducking ggg either i just hope his team is smart enough to make ggg fight at a catch weight it just irritates me cause ggg the guy were told is the most avoided is looking for fighters smaller then him rather then fighters who are bigger and that is what irritates me tho i think canelo ggg could end up being a great fight i mean lets not forget ggg dominated stevans but stevans hurt him a few times. Plus it irritates me that ggg and his people are trying to play the canelo is ducking ggg card when everyone thinks ggg is ducking ward it seriously irritates me and i actually like ggg but his handlers are making it harder and harder thats for sure

Why would GGG mention a retired fighter in another division?

Just look at Oscar's activity in relation to GGG:
                - He mentions GGG in relation to Froch and Ward on his twitter but not Canelo
                - When asked about GGG-Canelo, points about the possibility in 2 years time
                - Diminishes GGG's credibility by saying KT is a better fighter

So you can clearly understand Oscar's ways of avoiding this fight.

Canelo has the balls to take this fight. He doesn't want to be called a ducker.

Canelo fighting Trout and Lara is not evidence is his going to be willing to fight GGG.

Everyone fancies a shot at a boxer. Trout and Lara aint going to KO you silly.

Thats why everyone wants to fight someone like Khan, or even Mayweather(other than the money), because you're most likely only going to get outboxed.

I don't think Canelo actually wants to face GGG. And Oscar may have allows Trout and Lara to occur, but those guys are not going to end your career. Oscar will not allow this.
