Comments Thread For: Sanchez: GGG Stops Canelo in Eight, Oscar Knows It

LOS ANGELES -- Gennady Golovkin (44-1-1, 31KOs) is going to keep fighting the guys willing to fight him.

That was the theme at Wednesday's news conference to promote his bout with Martin Murray on Feb. 21 in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

While Miguel Cotto and Canelo Alvarez continue negotiations toward a May 2 super fight, GGG waits in the wings for a mega bout of his own.

Floyd mayweather is a coward! #fightpacquiao. Ok now that I got that out of the way Sanchez has a great point. Ggg is already a bonafied star and alls he needs is a worthy opponent to have a big ppv fight. Anyone saying ggg isn't a big enough name is simply a coward

That other site that loves Floyd is crushing hard on GGG. They posting a lot of interviews of GGG and Abel Sanchez. HBO needs to put their money behind this guy. He's the best MW out there. The only way he gets the big names is by offering more money where these other guys can't duck him.

Yeah GGG is dominating the ratings on HBO, no other boxer is pulling those numbers. All he needs is big name whose willing to fight him.

GGG will ruin Canelo, Oscar is just doing what he can to keep his company running, smart business move.

Why is this guy and everyone else even mentioning Canelo vs GGG? Canelo does not fight at 160, almost but not yet. Canelo even said when he moves to 160 he will fight GGG. Sanchez don't mention Ward anymore. He wants to unify at 160 right.

How many times can Sanchez say the same thing?

I am more interested in knowing what happens after Murray.

I think GGG should campaign at 168, only going down to 160 for mandatories and unifications. Maybe even fight 168-ers while showing up at 160. No challenges for him at 160. I want to see him with someone with half a chance. DeGale, Kessler, Groves, Dirrell.
