  • Comments Thread For: James DeGale's Fight Options: Fielding, Kessler, Dirrell

Olympic gold medal winner James DeGale is waiting to get an answer from his domestic rival, IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch. The IBF has given Froch until the end of the month to reach and agreement with DeGale for a mandatory fight or a their contest will head to a purse bid. It's looking more likely that Froch will vacate his belt and go in another direction.

    @ Rocky Fielding.

Kessler doesn't deserve a title shot but I've always wanted to see him against DeGale.

DeGale-Andre Dirrell is an excellent match-up

Rocky Fielding/Callum Smith should be ordered by the BBBofC quick smart. Paul's not defended for ages & should be stripped of the Lonsdale belt' as should Paul Butler!

exactly the smiths get favouritsm treatment cause theres 4 of them they dont have to defend the titles and they get world title shots which theyve got no chance of winning, blatent corruption pisses me off lol.

Dirrell won't come to the UK again, though.

fieldings got that skinny power, he might not be the best mover which is kind of odd seing as he's got the same trainer as martin murray youd think theyd improve his technique to more like murrays. The problem he's had is the last guy he thought just tried to survive and it didnt make him look good.

Nothing is cut and dried here. Fielding doesn't belong in this speculation at all but, apart from that fact, Froch seems to want Baby Chavez or retirement and a vacant IBF title fight would not see Kessler involved because he doesn't now have the ranking. Ramirez doesn't want the fight so it leaves DeGale against Dirrell, but only if Andre is prepared to box in England again.

Why does it have to be in the UK,if Haymon wins a purse it goes to the States, that simple.

Besides all this i have a feeling Froch vacates and still doesn't get the Chavez fight.not sure why, just a feeling.
