  • Comments Thread For: Hunter: Pacquiao Not Reinvented, Mayweather Beats Him

Virgil Hunter, who trains such fighters as Andre Ward and Amir Khan, is picking WBC/WBA welterweight & junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. to defeat Manny Pacquiao, holder of the WBO welterweight title, if the two boxers ever step in the ring.

Earlier, Hunter explained how Mayweather, who turns 38-years-old in February, continues to reinvent his style as his body gets older. He feels Pacquiao, 36-years-old, is exactly the same boxer with little to no change in his fighting style.

Maybe Hunter's way of saying he could do a better job with Pac than Roach.

Pac has never really faded in a fight yet, Hunter's view would only be applicable if it showed signs of happening.

Pac is always in the losing side in paper match.

I love it when he's the underdog, but when he fights he become a beast. :blow:

Neither has he been near crumbling mentally, I thought that was a strange thing to say.

Agreed. I don't mind him being the underdog at all.
