He alot more careful and respects his opponents power a little more. Mayweather will be forced to go into a turtle shell the whole fight while pacquiao bombs away on him with combinations. Pacquiao by unanimous decision

That might have made the fight seem close...still looked like a robbery though
he clearly loss tons of mustard on his punches in the mid rounds during the 1st Morales fight after receiving a dedicated body azzault from Erik for 2-3 rounds

Erik was nailing him with straight rights to the body. Floyd is also great with that shot when fighting lefties

manny also looked lethargic in the 3rd marquez fight

That's ok Virgil but Pacquiao has great stamina Mayweather might wait for Pacquiao to gas out like he always do he starts slow but bad formula for Pac. Pacquiao doesnt need to reinvent himself why fix if its not broken. He is just more cautious now after that last JMM fight.

so every boxer they've both faced picks floyd and every trainer outside of roach and he says pac has to be perfect, says floyd wins. “They both have accomplished so much (but) Mayweather has been the best fighter for the last 10 years,” Garcia continued. “Pacquiao has accomplished a lot as well but I truly believe that Mayweather is a much better fighter than Pacquiao.” lol. no wonder Arum will not let him get in the ring with floyd.

Nope the reason Pacquiao lost the first Erik Morales fight was because Pacquiao not using his right hand effectively. Also Morales is a very good combination puncher that took Pacquiao's best punches to give his own. Pacquiao will have difficulty with fighter who has combination punching like Marquez and Morales but need to withstand Pacquiao's punches to give their own.

I agree that Arum was a big roadblock in the past, BUT I don't think that's the case now. Arum should just learn to stfu and negotiate outside of the press. I know Mosely and JMM picked Mayweather. But haven't heard Cotto, de la hoya, or Hatton pick a winner.
I honestly think it would be a very close fight - that's what makes it so intriguing.
Pacs unorthodox southpaw style, and volume would give May problems
mays defense and counterpunching would give pac problems. They should've fought in '10 or, at latest '12. That said. I still want to see it...MAKE IT!

Arum alibi is weak... Trainers opinion doesn't count if Floyd has doubts in his mind that he will lose to Pacquiao. I'm waiting for Floyd to agree to fight Pacquiao on May 2 no more excuses. I will no longer watch any Floyd fight if he will not fight Pacquiao on May 2. Showtime will not be very happy to Floyd if another excuses shows up.

Hunter has sound theories. Well presented arguments. But Pacquiao is not a theory! Get in that ring, taste that speed, power, relentlessness...and theory flies out your arse!

Considering the bulk of his competition it's unlikely Manny was ever really tested.

He is physically more powerful and faster than everyone he has fought with the exception of Margarito, and Clottey. Neither of which did anything of note, one of them simply covered up and stood there. The other was chasing shadows all fight long.

If Manny would have had to face the same campaign as Floyd at 154 we would know how he responds to pressure. Floyd fought game champions at 154 and gave up a ton of weight and power to his opponent and still didn't fold. Even when they tried to bully him around the ring.

Lets see Manny go to 154 and fight a champion, or fight any full fledged WW champion and you will know what he is made of.
