Lets face it, Mosley was done at that point, it was good for Floyd to take that fight but the writing was on the wall, low hanging fruit.

Why would Floyd Margarito for the WBO belt when Baldomir was the Lineal Champion? The fight w/Margarito was offered at $8mil. Floyd made a guaranteed $9 mil to fight Baldomir and become the Linear champion. The fight with Judah was his last fight with Top Rank. Margarito had never been mentioned as an opponent before then. He wasn't thought of until Mayweather left Top Rank. Another failed attempt at trying to diminish Floyd. Pitiful man...Just pitiful...Take a seat sir

Exactly!!! When Floyd fought Bruselles, he was still signed under Top Rank. As you stated, Bruselles was trained by Evangalista Cotto and Bruselles mimicked Cotto's fighting style. It was a test to see how Mayweather would fair against Cotto. Once he destroyed Bruselles, they didn't mention a fight between Mayweather and Cotto until after Mayweather left Top Rank. Floyd took a few years off after he defeated Ricky Hatton. Once he came back, he was still the same fighter, possibly better.

Its so funny that Floyd fans keep on saying that Arum loves in house fights but when Floyd's name comes up, they forget about all that. Just too funny.

You say that Floyd vs Cotto never came up after Brusselles. Well it did. Back then Cotto was still on the greenish side and needed to fight often. Arum said just before the Gatti fight that the fight will happen in the future but Cotto needed another 1 to 1.5 years of seasoning. Arum said at that point, if there is anyone that can beat Floyd, its Cotto BUT not that version of him. He required more fights.

Arum had Cotto thrown in against Mosley, Margarito, Manny, Clottey and so on yet Arum was scared of the monster called Floyd? Give us all a break!

maybe the *******s are saying manny is tbe or goat or whatever. drop all that and see what pacquaio really is. a atg boxer with accolades up the ass. he has won and lost. In this sense, he has nothing left to prove. he cant go higher in weight, he cant go undefeated, cant claim he is tbe or goat. even if he were to beat mayweather, I'd only consider him best of this era and if he lost, hes second best, still had an amazing career, and still hof and hopefully he still got some money left over.

mayweather on the other hand, his entire legacy hinges on being undefeated, tbe, own boss, etc. he needs to destroy pacquiao to cement his legacy. His accomplishments speak for themselves but remember this guy is claiming tbe. how can you be tbe without destroying the #2 who people are claiming is really #1? mayweather isn't aiming for a basic hof atg status. he is aiming for the BEST.

Arum had Margarito waiting on Floyd before during and after he left. It was Floyd that didn't want to fight Margarito.

As for Floyd, he knows what's up. The Cotto fight was going to happen. Like I said above, Arum threw at Cotto Mosley, Margarito, Manny, Clottey, .... but Floyd the monster was too scary? Give us all a break!

Floyd and his fans logic: Arum loves in house fighting that is why Floyd doesn't fight Manny. Why no Cotto vs Floyd? Floyd is the exception to Arum's in-house fights.
