  • Anyone Watch The UFC Last Night?

I decided to watch the rest of the card after the Steelers game. 3 fights. 2 fights before the main were boring as ****. Just two incompetent strikers circling each other in both fights the whole time, afraid to pull the trigger. This seems to be the case in almost every fight I watch.

Main event was good for two rds, then they gassed. WTF?

Now why I made this thread, and why I think MMA is trash, and dislike most everyone involved. Two of the fights had bad blood involved. You know, some **** talking and the general goodies. **** you see in almost every boxing fight. But at the end of the fight these guys didnt even look at each other, didnt embrace, didnt show any respect to the opponent after it was over. What in the mother **** is that classless ****? Instead the supposed best in the UFC set a cheap shot up in the final 5 seconds, and preceeded to tell everyone how much he hates his opponent during the post fight interview and making obscene gestures.

I like a good **** fest. Bad blood, some dirty **** too. But when it's all over after a war boxing match the guys always show respect whether they like it or not. Even if its only a nod or touching fists. They always acknowledge the respect. Not even a glance in these two fights with what was relatively routine bad blood non sense.

    **** MMA.

If you didnt read all that I dont blame you.

I watched it - the undercards were good fights on paper, but the dudes just didn't deliver - played it safe.

The main event was fire for those first three rounds - I could understand why they were gassed. They were trading heavy leather, kicks and knees to the body from the get. They were not playing around. I had a small lil' get together since I'm new to this area in ******ia. By round four Daniel Cormier was thoroughly gassed. He mustered up the energy he could in the fifth and tried to make a comeback but Bones was just a little more fresh.

Jon Bones issue has always been his training and being in shape between fights. He always blows up because he was just better. His resume is deep. He fights either the #1 or #2 every fight, no top 25, top 50 guys on PPV. I think as he gets older, I hope he improves his off-fight preparation. The dude has a varied arsenal of striking, it's impressive. His knees are deadly, his elbow game is unparralled, his kicks hurt right through the TV and his hands are on-point. His weakness is wrestling and yesterday, against a world-class Olympian wrestler, he stuffed him.

In regards to sportsmanship - Daniel Cormier talked all that mess up to the promotion, then in front of the ref, Bones tried to glove tap - DC dissed him. Then when the bell rang he again tried to show respect and put his hand out for a glove tap, only to get dissed. He rightly beat DC's ass and disrespected him. I bet if DC showed some class, the champ would have showed some class back. It's cool to trash talk leading up to the fight, but when the bell rings, shows some sportsmanship...so I credit Bones for shutting his DC's trap.

            Good fight

Daniel Cormier is a fat POS. He never had a chance. IMO Gustufsson beat Jon Jones. I want to see Gustufsson vs Jones 2.
