This will alleviate the sufferings of many of his fighters who have been on a long layoff now. You can't possibly provide dates for 130 fighters in one network with an average of only 1.5 card for every two months. You might as well quit the sport if you're one of these starving fighters.

Eh - so the goal is to strip NBC of their budget instead of Showtime by putting these "champions" against soft, top 50 dudes and then charge a 79.99 PPV for top 10 fare.

Boxing is a victim of its own doing. And to be honest, it's the fans that perpetuated it. Everytime a guy loses, these casual clowns hiding in the closet claiming they're hardcore just jump off the bandwagon and call him exposed is what prompts these promoters from putting them on tough. Imagine when LSC loses, everyone will be off the wagon. Oh well. To be honest, when Cotto, Pac, May, Hopkins and a few others finally do retire, that'll be it in terms of true, honest to goodness HoF material dudes, the rest just want to get these massive paydays for nothing. I'm not interested in this junk until actual quality fights are on it

From what I read he's the one paying NBC for the airtime (20mil).. So that means he'll most likely be getting his money back through advertisements, sponsorship, etc. With that said I'm predicting quality fights this year on NBC since he will need high ratings to earn big advertisement dollars.

Wilder isn't going to fight Wlad. Haymon is going to take the Don King approach and keep that title hostage.

WTF is Showtime thinking right now? They handed the keys to do kingdom to Haymon, gave him whatever they asked, paid his fighters double and triple what there worth, now they have one fight scheduled for this year and thats it.

It seems like they are completely left in the dark here, and have no control over what will happen.

Either Haymon has the scheme of he century About to unfold or he has is completely in over his head.

His entire roster has NO fights lined up right now.

santa cruz-ruiz and taylor-mora are set. those fights should bring in a couple billion dollars of revenue to setup the other fights.

Showtime doesn't care so long as they can claim the Mayweather brand under their roof.

I'm sure Haymon has fights lined up, they're simply not announced is all. The guy is like a chess player, he's thinking a few steps ahead of what's current.
